Ontario is now accepting applications for a province-wide program that supports capacity building for First Nation communities and Métis organizations.
Developed with input from Aboriginal partners, the New Relationship Fund will help First Nations and Métis in Ontario participate in consultations with government and the private sector.
The fund will also enhance and improve business and economic development partnership opportunities, helping to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal communities in Ontario.

"The New Relationship Fund will help First Nations and Métis develop and enhance the technical skills and expertise required for meaningful consultation and business partnerships," said Brad Duguid, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs. "This will help build up local economies and close the socio-economic gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities in Ontario."
